The treasure trove of yo yos are made of 100% silk, hand stitched. As you can see, from the photograph, the colors are spectacular.
"How can you help?" you ask. Give me some ideas on how to re-purpose 1,000 yo yos. It will take some time, but the thread can easily be clipped to separate them.

Your right - way too amazing to discard...I am not a quilter, but it sure looks like a beautiful quilt could be made from those yo-yos! Can't wait to see what you decide!
ReplyDeleteDear Meggie, These yo-yos are so cute. And I think It takes a very long time to make 1ooo yo-yos. I have an idea maybe you like. You can make 2 cushions and a table runner set from them. And you can use them in your living room as a set. But these are very precious. And you are very lucky. All best wishes...
ReplyDeleteA yoyo scarf; a yoyo bag; a yoyo quilt...
ReplyDeleteThis vest represents too many working hours but the result is wonderful.
I hope you will find great ideas.
Cheers from Belgium.
My first thought was cushions. They would look beautiful made in such a wonderful fabric and amazing colours
ReplyDeleteOh wow....I love all the color too!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yo-yos! I remember making a bunch with my grandmother years ago...great memories. I think we were making them for a quilt. I bet yours could make a couple of neat throw pillows.
