What I have discovered by living in the country, is the overwhelming beauty that surrounds me. Nature's art is in everything the eye can see.
The country backroad to the farm continues to have wildflowers in bloom, like the Firewheel. You may also know this flower as Indian Blanket.
Isn't she a beauty?

I am always amazed at how nature places seemingly clashing colours next to one another and they look beautiful. When we do the same , it looks awful.

I find nature is always pleasing to my eye, too!
DeleteThe furrowed field of grain is just perfect. I immediately thought "Amber waves of grain".
ReplyDeleteHello Ms Sparrow....That is a wonderful thought!
DeleteThose rows of hay look so perfect and your wildflowers are so pretty.....
ReplyDeleteAnd, I think the fact that it is on a hill, intensifies the beauty!
DeleteAnd the scent of fresh hay, it is summer!
ReplyDeleteThere us nothing like that wonderful smell of fresh cut hay!
DeleteYou are so right, we have only to look for the beauty. I particularly like the undulations of the land and the sweep of the lines - thanks to Maarit I can also smell the hay! Firewheels are hot, hot, hot!
ReplyDeleteHello Elaine...I've always called them "Indian Blankets", but my search today, also gave the name Firewheel. And speaking of hot....it was another incredibly hot day of 102 degrees.
DeleteNature is just so inspiring! x
ReplyDeleteGlad you see it, too!
DeleteSuch beautiful wildflowers, and amazing photos as always. x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Scarlet....you are always so generous with your comments to my blog.
DeleteI love the hay photo. Yes, the country is the place to be. Just don't everybody move there.
ReplyDeleteMeggie, It does look like corduroy or a comfy knitted sweater. And, you know, I'm a sucker for wildflowers and you've captured her beauty perfectly...Mother Nature would be proud! XOXO
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Meggie!
ReplyDeleteI love the shot of the mowed hay...always a favorite site of mine as well as a favorite smell.
