This is what the sky looked liked before the rain started.....
Do you remember the lyrics of the love song, Listen to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain, recorded by Ricky Nelson? Nice song....nice memories. But, today I need to concentrate on packing everything in the art studio.

Perhaps the rain has been sent just for you. Listen to the rain, it's a gentle calming sound which is just what you need right now.

Thank you, Jane...I had not thought of it that way.
DeleteI love the sound of rain...and it's a good thing since I live in Seattle! Here, nothing stops because of it; people still mow lawns in the rain, kids play baseball and soccer in the rain, and yes, we moved into a home in the rain. Of course, in all fairness, the rain here is so much lighter than anyone else--just more days.
ReplyDeleteAt least, Meggie, it keeps you to the task of packing instead of wandering outside:-D I agree with Jane, listen to the rain and feel a serenity wash over you that this is a good move. Love you, XOXO
Susan, I also love the sound of rain. You are so right...maybe, I will stay inside and finish the task at hand. I'll let the "serenity wash over me".
DeleteHere it's raining all the time and it's summer but it sound nice sometimes.

Ah, isn't it always the case, it takes an event like moving or washing the car to get the rains to come.
ReplyDeleteI know you probably need the rain - but how frustrating. Rain on a tin roof must sound quite different from the sound it makes on our tiles - I imagine it could get quite noisy!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad it's raining for you even though it's bad timing....typical hey! I love being in bed snug and cosy and listening to the rain. x
ReplyDeleteRain seems so relaxing.. We need rain in this part of Turkiye. It's terribly hot..
ReplyDeleteI wish you move easyly and be happy in your new city..:))
God Bless you dear Meggie..
I love the rain when I have nothing to do but relax with a good magazine and cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the rain! I wish we would get some. That first shot with the windmill is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI always loved that song...would love some rain, too.
