Every move my neighbor's horse made, the
Cattle Egret followed.

The egret shows up in the summertime, feasting off the insects that bother the farm animals. Usually, I see flocks of them, in the pasture, with the herds of cattle. This was the first time I saw a single egret with a horse.

Hey...wait for me !! |
Once, the horse stepped too quickly. You can see the egret stretched out, racing to catch up.
Two different creatures.... completely at ease in each other's company.

We could learn a lesson from those two.

Thank you for reading in-between the lines....
DeleteWhat beautiful photos. We actually have a lot of horses in this part of Florida and enjoy seeing the cattle egret. I'm writing to let you know that I have the Traveling Susan apron and posted about it today. I am so honored to join the 'sisterhood'. Thank you so much! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHello Diane....I'm so glad you have the apron. I have not been posting for a couple of weeks because of my mother's death. I will be popping over to your blog later today to have a look. Welcome to the Sisterhood!
DeleteVery cool photos!

Thanks, Linda. The two seemed to be in complete harmony with each other.
