Historical Courthouse on the Square |
Of all the Saturday's events to choose from, I decided it would be a fun drive to a very historic town and photograph their pet parade.

And here he is....
And what do I see....another Santa!
The variety of pets also included one pony, all decked out in his Santa's helper hat.
Now this little guy came prepared. It was a very warm 80 degree day in December, with the sun beaming down on the parade.
Of all the pets parading around, on a leash, this one was quite the "ham" when it came to the camera.
Are you talking about me ??
If there was one dog I could pick to take home...it would be this Border Collie.
His uniqueness,
And, sweet nature...pulled my heart strings !

There will be more on the festival later this week...
Nothing makes my heart sing more than animals.

Hi Jane...I must agree with you!
DeleteWonderful photographs, Meggie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elaine...I simply love the Border Collie!
DeleteHow cute! I can't see my cats wearing costumes or walking in a parade! Dogs seem much more cooperative!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
Hi Linda....I don't think I saw one cat...they are so independent! Of course, that is what I love about them...
DeleteI once put a Santa hat on Bailey to take his photo for Christmas and he gave me such an attitude! I love the dog that is doing the "Jack Nicholson" imitation..."you talking to me!!" What a fun day to spend with the animals--sometimes the forgotten part of the Nativity, but this little town knows their importance:-D
ReplyDeleteHello Susan...thank you for reminding me about the animals of the Nativity.
DeleteWhat a fun event! I wish I could have been there.
ReplyDeleteHello Ms Sparrow...I feel so lucky to live in this wonderful part of Texas !
DeleteLook at all those sweethearts.....I love that building!!
ReplyDeletetake care, Heidi
