Somehow I have convinced myself if I hang one single tree ornament, I can say, "I'm in the process of decorating the Christmas Tree".
As you know, this will be my first Christmas in Das Kleine Haus. I am still working to get some kind of order to the haus before my family arrives for the holidays.

Because my home has 12 foot ceilings, I opted for my very first tall tree....
With the tall tree comes a new problem. I need to bring an equally very tall ladder in the living room, so I might place the star on.

Before the Christmas Stockings can be hung, the tile on the new hearth must be finished.
Looks like it will be another busy Friday Project Day.

The tree is going to look beautiful Meggie, and your lit windows make the haus look so welcoming. You are further along than I am with decorating. I hope to get everything out of the attic tomorrow and complete decorating over the weekend. My tree seemed to dominate the lounge at the old house even though the room measured 18' x 12'. Here, it seems lost because of the high ceilings and we have to stand it on something!
ReplyDeleteHello Scarlet....I totally understand. At the farm, I had a small tree. That is why I decided I needed something taller in Das Kleine Haus. I still need to get my boxes of decorations out of storage. The one ornament on the tree is from a box of new ones I purchased.
DeleteYour home decoration is wonderful dear Meggie, It looks so warm and sweet. And also your christmas tree is gorgeous..:))
ReplyDeleteThank you Beck....
DeleteI think 'haus' is a misnomer...'home' is much more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful first Christmas in your new home.
