Friday's Fences

The wide, untrimmed planks, for the fence, probably were once trees growing on this prairie land.

Looking so Texas with big blue skies and cattle grazing behind the fence.

Unique and so rustic looking...don't you agree?

    1. Thank you, Sally. I photographed this fence several months ago. Did you notice, it is also stained.

    1. Hi Cheryl....I could never find out the owner's name. I wanted to ask if they milled the planks on their property. It is very common to do this.

  3. It is rustic, but they have taken the time to smooth the planks which also makes it elegant. I think this is one of my favorite fences you've ever posted. XOXO

  5. I would probably end up with splinters, but I would have to draw my hands along that fence, feel the texture and those wonderful undulations. A wonderful fence.

    1. Hello my friend, I had not thought about that. As you can see, some of those planks came from a rather large tree.

    1. Hi Janet.....I do believe it is cedar...probably cleared from the land the fence surrounds.
