Friday's Fences

The simple fence surrounds the drilling operation. In Texas we call it a Horse Head Pump. If you click on the link, you can read about other nicknames for the oil well pump.

It is not unusual to see a herd of cattle in the same pasture.

    1. Anyone could climb over it...I'm thinking it is to keep the cows from getting hurt.

  2. Easy to see where the nickname comes from. It's dinosaur looking to me. :)

  7. It amazing how different the landscapes in different areas are. No oil around here. But there are plenty of tobacco, cotton and sweet potatoes in the summer.
