Celebrating the 12th Day of Christmas...Three Kings Day

Instead of baking the traditional King's Bread, for today's celebration, I decided to make sugar cookies, using the camel cookie cutter I purchased last year.

To make my baking even sweeter, I used my mother's rolling pin. You may remember me writing about My Mother, who died about a year ago. If she had lived, tomorrow she would have been 91 years old.

The camels were not as easy as I thought they would be...as you can see, some of the legs are longer.

Misshapen cookies still taste good !

    1. Thanks, Heather...It has been quite a while since I made cut-out cookies. I think I need to practice with some easier cookie cutters...but, as I said in the post, they still tasted good!

  2. Wonderful camels! I ought to start with a tradition like that, too, because here in Finland we don't much celebrate the 12 of X-mas. Last year in Gran Canaria we took part in a celebration in a small town. Three wise men sat on a open lorry and threw candies to village people following them around and dancing. Happy New Year, Meggie, and thank you for your warming and lovely messages!
