A beautiful Texas church, sitting high on the landscape.
It is rare when I cannot find out the history of a church structure.
As far as I could see, even their website had nothing on it's history.
The architecture is grand in appearance.
The Texas Historical Marker provides some information about Methodists in this area
The landscaping was immaculately kept....
Large trees providing shade from the hot Texas sun.

ReplyDeleteSuch a simple looking place but those windows are just awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Meggie,
ReplyDeleteI read the plaque... the church is old. Looks like some Germans settled there in the 1800's.. maybe the local municipality will have more info..
Its a lovely building., with some nice masonary stone work.
the garden is lovely.
From what I remember of my visit to Houston and surrounding suberbs.. some of the area are so well kept.. lovely gardens. Gleaming cars too.
I am hoping to go back one day. I love Texas and the Texans.
Happy Sunday.

ReplyDeleteAttractive church. Nice clean lines. And, dare I say relatively ornate for a methodist place?
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful church. The landscaping really adds to the beauty. I would love to sit in the grass under that big tree.
ReplyDeleteGood looking church! I really like the entrance.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty church. I love the trees on the property and the shadows they cast.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I bet someone at the church has a written history tucked in a file cabinet somewhere.
ReplyDeletewhat is not to love. i enjoy it all ... i am always a fan of Methodist churches. but maybe that is because i was raised in that kind of church??
