Sharing my early morning spot with you, my dear readers.....
a little taste of the land I love so much.
The camera captured this early hour, with me directing the camera to the east.
It is still cool this morning and the air is filled with the scent of cut grass.
The trees rising 220 feet, in the background, are part of the area called The Bluff. Click HERE to read another story about the area. Or look at my tags on the right side of the page, and click on The Bluff.
Large round bales of hay lined up....
Ready to feed the cattle in the winter months.

Yours is a beautiful part of the world!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Love the trees. I have finally gotten used to the big round hay bales. When I was young, the bales were those rectangular ones. I remember being up in a friend's barn and watching the boys bring in the hay. Fun memories.
ReplyDeletereally beautiful 'every day' shots. some folks wouldn't see the beauty as they pass by. :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love you home so much... Great photos! Jx
ReplyDeleteThey say a good fence should be horse high, pig tight and bull strong. It's a good thing so many of these lovely old fences lasted without being any of those things. What a view--easy to see why you're so happy to be home :) very happy for you!
ReplyDeleteMeggie, it is simply beautiful! I can see why you love it so. These could be calendar pictures.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteI love these views...I often wonder if others that have not grew up or lived on the land understand how we feel. I have not lived on a farm since I was young, but still it is part of me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful selection of fences. I enjoyed them very much.
