ReplyDeleteHow nice to enjoy the special time with friends.
DeleteAdvent Candels, Not seen any this year but that is because I've not been in a church for a while. Very nice wreath
ReplyDeleteAnd still, you share countless numbers of beautiful church and cathedral photographs for the world to see...
DeleteIt's lovely to see different traditions. Here in the UK our advent candles tend to be red or white. Jx
ReplyDeleteI have just recently learned they vary from church to church. Sometimes the pink one is lit on the fourth Sunday. Sometimes the candles are blue. The important thing is to take a pause, and remember why we are lighting them.
DeleteI do love your wreath. It is very hard to find the colour of candle you really want here. Mine are all supermarket red, with an eclectic collection of many in the front window!
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful is the Advent wreath.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from distant Polish.
A beautiful reminder. Happy Holidays, dear friend and Sister!
ReplyDeleteLovely! We sing when lighting the candle, a song that tells about the light of the candel how the light gets more powerful every Sunday. It is a very important tradition for me, I try to give the song texts to sleepy children around the breakfast table - they know the breakfast starts after the song - but often it is just me and my husband with his guitar that sing... Still, I believe it is one thing they will remember from their childhood.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry it's taken me so long to come over and share your Pause for Advent posts- I love seeing the beauty and inspiration of my fellow posters- the advent wreath is beautiful. At my old church, we used to sing a version of the Holly and the Ivy to light our wreath with different verses for each Sunday of Advent!x
