Although the temperatures are quickly warming
on the Blackland Prairie,
the hills are still covered with Spring flowers.
The Texas Paintbrush appears like a carpet,
covering entire hills and roadsides.
Nestled among the native grasses, our state flower,
The Blue Bonnet, lines the backroads.
Simple pleasures to freely enjoy.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteWe were there in March, a bit too early to enjoy the bluebonnets. I'd love to see them some time when they're in full bloom - when teleportation is common. Otherwise, it's a 20 hour drive. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, nice to "see" you again!
ReplyDeleteThe spring flowers seem to be especially beautiful this year!
